In the case of Prakash Singh against the Government of India in Year 1, the Supreme Court ordered each of the states to make structural changes to their police system. Under this, a Police Companion Authority was ordered to be set up at the district level and at the state level in each state. The purpose of the Supreme Court was that the large number of complaints against the police of the people should be established at a local level and disposed of separately. Deaths taken during police custody Any serious injury as stated in IPC Article 1 Unlawful arrest or detention without legal process. Rape or attempted rape by the police. Ransom or illegal money demanded by the police. Ransom or illegal money demanded by the police. Serious abuse or threats by the police. Occupation of land or house should be seized. Police torture a person. The following personnel may be harassed by the superior officer. Any other incident in which the police have been misused by the authorities. However, in all these cases, a preliminary inquiry is made into the Police Complaint Authority before making your complaint.
